History

the creation of a zoo presented the August 31, 1953, when the Council of the SMP (Society of Public Improvements) reported that Mrs. Mercedes Pérez Sierra, who had left in his will the Hacienda Santa Fe, with all its contents.


In 1959 USMP attainment  the license , attainment of the Amazon displacement martejas, saimiríes, capuchin monkeys, pot-bellied brown monkeys, tapirs, porcupines, bush dogs, lizards, alligators and turtles. All species came to our Zoo for care and ensure quality of life.

¿that do?

santa fe zoo has always been concerned by the urban environment and expressed through conservation projects ,protecting and administration  parks of  the animal and plant life. Between other activities he has developed programs of tree planting, creation of parks, protection and reforestation of micro basins.
